There's nothing quite like a proper straight razor shave. It's one of those experiences that a cartridge razor at home simply cannot replicate. At HMB Barbers, our classic shave service is a genuine ritual — unhurried, precise and built around your comfort from start to finish. If you've never had one, you're in for something special. The process begins with a steaming hot towel wrapped around the face to open your pores and soften the stubble. Once the skin is prepped, your barber applies a rich lather using a traditional shaving brush, working it into the grain to lift every hair. The straight razor does the rest — guided with a steady hand in smooth, controlled strokes that leave the skin genuinely smooth without irritation.

After the shave, a cool towel is applied to close the pores back down, followed by an alcohol-free aftershave balm to calm and hydrate the skin. The whole service is designed to leave your face feeling clean, smooth and refreshed — not tight or raw like a rushed shave at home can sometimes leave you.

Our barbers are fully trained in straight razor technique with a focus on safety and hygiene. We use fresh disposable blades for every client, no exceptions. It's a relaxing twenty-odd minutes in the chair that makes a noticeable difference to how you look and feel walking out the door.
